Being a Girl Scout will benefit your child by teaching them a series of important life skills that they will carry their entire lives.
Being a part of Girl Scouts inspires young girls to become the future's leaders and thinkers. Based on years of success, girl scouts have helped young girls develop skills in STEM, the Outdoors, and Entrepreneurship. Girls of all ages, are able to participate in these large variety of skills from basic coding camps and beginner hikes to fully research computer projects and outdoor camping.
Girls are more likely to be a community leader if they join Girl Scouts. 52% of female business leaders, 69% of Female US Senators, and 100% of female secretary of state have been girl scouts.
Older girls are able to apply for the Girl Scout Gold Award, one of the world's most prestigious and difficult-to-obtain awards. This allows the girls to peruse a project that interests them and allows them to get rewards that will help their career, such as college scholarships.
